One of Those Days

For anyone who’s wondered if I (a.k.a. Pollyanna) ever have a bad day, the answer is “YES.”

I’m having a real humdinger today.

I may tell you about it tomorrow.

Or I may just repress it. That’s what psyches are for, isn’t it?

  1. Katrina, maybe it’s just me, but I sense some stress. It’s subtle, but I just have this feeling that you need a hug. ((Katrina))

  2. Sorry to hear you’re having a rough day…hope it gets better! And, if it makes for good blogging, please share. Those of us that have ‘bad days’ on a regular basis would appreciate knowing what you would qualify as a humdinger 🙂

  3. Oh, I hope your day goes better tomorrow! I hope you went home tonight and had chocolate and got a massage or took a nice, long, hot bath.

For my workout, I do different things each time. I didn’t go tonight, but Sunday I did legs, so I started off with 10 minutes on the excercise bike. Then, I did three sets each of leg presses, calf extensions, calf presses, hip adduction and hip abduction. I did a set of lunges with a 25-pound weight in each hand, then immediately went to a set of squats against a wall with an exercise ball at my back and a 25-pound weight in my hand. I did three lunge-squat sets. Then, I ran on the gluteal setting on the elliptical for 15 minutes. At that point, I’d been at the gym an hour and was ready to leave since I didn’t get there until 10.

Typing all this out makes me seem totally hardcore and like I really know what I’m doing, but I don’t. I’ve just worked out a couple times with friends who do know what they’re doing, and I try to remember what we did.

  4. You do not need our permission to have a bad day, but we hope you return to your happy cheerful self soon. (It is a relief to know you’re human, though!!)

P.S. This is us, going for a virtual cup of cocoa and a leisurely browse through a bookstore…

  5. You guys are the best! Thanks for the hugs. I sorely needed them!

brilliant–I am impressed! I would like to get back into going to the gym, so I’m interested in what other people do there. You know, so I can look like I know what I’m doing…lol!

Amy–That sounds like the perfect bad-day antidote! Thanks for the virtual cheer. 😀
